Redoing his profile. ...Eventually. For the moment, have a summary of his history.

This Yusuke's parents aren't dead (though they almost died, incidentally, in a car accident when he was little - they barely survived). He still summoned Darkness while he was at Duel Academy, but not because he wanted to forget everyone, but so that he could gain the power to not lose anyone, because he was terrified of losing those he cared about. Darkness, incidentally, found Yusuke interesting and made him a deal: Yusuke would receive the power of Darkness in exchange for his soul whenever Darkness asked for it, which was either going to be when Darkness didn't find him interesting anymore or when he died, whichever came first. Yusuke, of course, made this deal, and wound up in one of the twelve dimensions parallel to Earth.

He spent the next few years traveling through them, and eventually found his way to Clear World, the village where the Clear monsters lived. He was taken in by the monsters, especially the Clear Cubes and their teacher/caretaker, Clear Phantom, and wound up living with them for about a year, because even though he always wanted to go home, he liked the Clear monsters.

Then, Haou's forces attacked in their orders to collect souls to complete Super Fusion. Yusuke used the power of Darkness to protect the village as much as he could, but it eventually overwhelmed him and even Clear Vice Dragon, Clear World's protector. It was all Yusuke could do to tap into the power of persuasion (against his own wishes) and convince the attackers, after the Clear monsters were almost all defeated (but not dead yet), that there was no one left to kill. Thus did he save the Clear village, at least according to its residents, and though the town itself was destroyed, they allowed him to take their cards as his deck. The Cubes, who had hidden in one of the ruins, were able to accompany him outside of their cards; the rest of them had to remain inside of their cards in order to regain energy, but Yusuke could still talk to them.

Yusuke spent a little more time wandering the other dimensions, but then one day, he accidentally stumbled upon a portal that had opened up to Duel Academy, and after speaking to Samejima he was allowed to stay at the school. He met Judai (but didn't learn that he had been Haou) and got along with him. He then went to his old room in the now Abandoned Dorm and retrieved Honest, and was going to go to meet Fubuki, who he had learned was still in the school (though he hadn't learned why).

Before he could, however, he wound up at Econtra. A full summary of his time there can be found here (part 1) and here (part 2 - coming soon). The most important thing to note here is his friendship with OU Tenjoin Fubuki and his friendship with OU Marufuji Ryou, the latter of which became so much more than friendship, blossoming into love. In fact, by the end of the war, Yusuke and Ryou considered themselves engaged.

Incidentally, due to certain events at Econtra - namely, What Happened in March - Yusuke has a distinct hatred of the power to influence other peoples' minds. Also, though he's decided to forgive OU Yuuki Judai, known at the DR as "Skippy", for the incidents of What Happened in March, he still hasn't completely gotten over everything yet, and likely never will.

Of course, if he was aware of the fact that he, OU Ryou, and OU Fubuki were from different worlds, he denied that to himself, which got him into a bit of trouble when he went home - you can read his Econtra epilogue to find out what happened from here.

Long story short, he no longer has the power of Darkness, though he still has his Clear deck. Whether he has Honest with him or not is... unknown, at this point, which translates to his mun hasn't figured it out yet. He dyed his hair black before opening a portal that would lead him to Ryou's universe, and he intends to go between the two universes, not wanting to leave his own behind completely but wanting to be with his fiancé.

Of course, now he's in the Dressing Room and has been given the nickname of "Skylark". So yeah.

(Also, he distrusts Jing from King of Bandits: Jing, as well as Sailor Mercury from Sailor Moon. But that's due to other stuff that happened.)
